A brief overview
Holding a degree in Chartered Accounting & International Marketing, I started my career in 1981 as Deputy Reinsurance Manager at LIA Insurance Company in Lebanon until 1983. I then moved to Paris and worked with NASCO KARAOGLAN France as Deputy Director for the treaty division until 1990.
Based in the United Kingdom, I started working with Skandia International as Sr. Treaty Underwriter for the Prop & Non-Prop for the MENA Region until 1998 when I joined CCR Re France and moved back to Lebanon.
Based in Beirut, I cover the MENA and Cyprus as Sr. treaty Underwriter for Prop & Non-Prop and FAC. In 2009, I was promoted as Sr. Vice President for the Middle East & North Africa & Legal Representative, as well as heading the team for the MENA and Cyprus.
My mission is to foster the development of the insurance and reinsurance industry in MENA.
To promote the growth of underwriting and retention capacities and to support the MENA economic development.
We provide enhanced reinsurance solutions for the benefit of our clients and those who value deep-rooted relationships.
I am still passionate about the business after 40 years of experience in reinsurance in the Middle East.
