CCR Re is a medium-sized reinsurer with a long-standing presence in France and internationally, and now present in 80 countries worldwide. It operates in the traditional property and liability, life and health classes of business, as well as in certain specialised classes of business (credit, marine, aviation, space, agro).
CCR Re's ambition is to develop a second international reinsurance platform in Paris as an alternative to the market leaders. This ambition is reinforced by CCR Re's control sold to the consortium formed by SMABTP and MACSF, and to strengthen its equity capital to the tune of 200 million euros. CCR will remain a shareholder with 25% of the voting rights.
CCR Re is currently undergoing a major transformation. All processes are being rethought with the introduction of artificial intelligence in underwriting analysis, enabling our experts to focus on value-added tasks and client relationship management. The teams, which have been extensively overhauled and expanded, are younger, more feminine and more multicultural. Underwriting has been extended to new markets, notably in Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean region.
At the same time, new high value-added services are being added to our cover offerings. Innovative risk management tools have been put in place, including the first sidecar under French law, which is now being developed with four investors.
